IOTA at the world’s largest Motor Show in Germany

IOTA at the world’s largest Motor Show in Germany

IOTA’s Senior Product Manager for Mobility & Automotive Janine Härtel will be at the world’s largest motor show in Hannover, Germany, to provide her thoughts at a panel discussion in front of the who’s who of the automotive industry.

The IAA (Internationale Automobil Ausstellung, English: International Motor Show Germany) will be hosted in Hannover from September 20-27, 2018. It is the biggest motor show in the world.

Among the many scheduled events is also the presentation of the Telematics Award 2018 which has become “one of the largest events at the IAA commercial vehicles”. This award is given to startups and companies who provide the best solutions in linking the technologies of navigation, siting, communication and informatics; there are different categories for which interested companies can apply for.

The winners of the respective categories will be awarded their prize on September 22. Before this, there will be a panel discussion among the following persons:

Bernd Althusman, Minister of the Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour, Transport and Digitalisation of Lower Saxony

Dr. Kurt-Christian Scheel, Managing Director of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA)

Peter Klischewsky,Editor in Chief at Mediengruppe Telematik-Markt.de

Josè da Silva, General Manager at ICS IT Projects GmbH

Janine Härtel
Senior Product Manager for Mobility & Automotive at IOTA Foundation

The topic of the panel discussion will be “AI, Blockchain and Autonomous Driving – how far are the trend technologies with regard to Transport and Logistics?”

In his greeting to all the participants of the competition, Bernd Althusmann who also has the patronage of the event said that this event is characterized by “its high impact and its expert audience”.

So not only the panellists will be high-class, but also the audience will be full of people from the biggest companies since companies like Daimler, Scania, TomTom, ZF, MAN and BOSCH are among the nominees.

Again, IOTA has obviously been chosen to represent the Distributed Ledger Technologies at a very important event of the world’s largest motor show – and it will certainly help spread the word about IOTA’s unique advantages in the realm of DLT.
